Mintbase Wallet Guide
Your Guide to Creating a Mintbase Wallet
In the increasingly expanding world of crypto, it can sometimes be difficult to keep your wallets and tokens in order. With a Mintbase wallet, you will have an easily accessible one stop shop for both NFT generation and digital exchange. With this quick guide, we will be creating a Mintbase Wallet, as well as showing the different features found within the Mintbase workspace as well as revealing why Mintbase is your best option when it comes to a NEAR wallet.
Step 1:
To begin, simply make your way to the Mintbase website https://www.mintbase.xyz/:
Step 2:
From here, select the ‘Wallet’ button which will send you to this screen:
You can go ahead and either connect your account OR create a new one. Whichever you choose, select ‘Continue’ and after a few seconds, your account will be connected!
Step 3:
Now that your account has been created, we can take a look at what you now have access to within the space. We will go over each of the four tabs you see on the home screen, beginning with ‘Wallet’:
My Fungible Token Assets
The main thing to notice here are the options to both send and receive NEAR tokens. You are also able to view the balance of NEAR you have currently within your Mintbase wallet. Your account name that is linked to your Mintbase wallet is also shown above.
Step 4:
Next, we will cover the ‘Account’ tab:
Luckily, the options found here are fairly self-explanatory. With Access Key Management, you can manage the apps you have connected to your Mintbase wallet.
In Export Seedphrase, you will be able to view your unique, 12 word phrase that is linked to this wallet. It is extremely important that you 1) record this phrase physically, mentally, and digitally ten times over. Write it down, type it out, and remember where you can find it! 2) Do not share this phrase with anyone or anything. This phrase is the ultimate security measure to your wallet. If you lose your seed phrase it’s game over.
The ‘Disconnect’ option disconnects you from the Mintbase wallet. You will most likely need to re-input your wallet information to connect again. In the ‘Create a New Account’ option you will be given a new passkey (username.mintbase.near).
Finally, with the ‘Add Account’ option, you will be able to connect or import other NEAR accounts that you have access to.
To connect another account you will need to provide the passkey that is associated with it. If you wish to import an already existing account, you will need to provide the unique 12 word seedphrase as described earlier. Lastly, you can recover an existing account if you have previously backed it up using Google.
So as you can see so far, the Mintbase Wallet is extremely user friendly and straightforward in terms of navigation and presentation.
Step 5:
Next up we have the ‘NFT’ tab:
Here we can see the amount of contracts, NFTs, and tokens that are stored in the Mintbase Wallet. Additionally, you can create a free Token Drop.
To do this, you will first upload an image from your desktop or cloud or by dragging and dropping it into the available space. With the ‘Additional Settings’ drop down, you will be given a few options to fill out. First, you can see the address of this specific token contract. Below that, you will also be allowed to name your own drop so make it something memorable! And lastly, if you are so inclined, you can provide a description for the drop. Once you have attended to these final details, simply press the ‘Create Drop’ button and you’re in business.
Step 6:
Finally, we have the ‘Activity’ tab. When you select it, you will be redirected to NearBlocks, a blockchain explorer and analytics platform https://nearblocks.io/:
On NearBlocks we can see a more detailed look into our transactions as well as being able to buy, trade, stake/earn, and store our tokens.
Hopefully, it is evident that as soon as you create your Mintbase wallet you will have access to a wealth of information and helpful tools in creating and managing your NFTs, as well as overseeing the comings and goings of your connected account in a straightforward and high-speed fashion.
Why the Mintbase Wallet is built for NFTs
From the start, Mintbase’s primary goal was to provide an effective space for the use of creating, buying, and trading NFTs (non-fungible tokens) which it remains today. Just about anyone with access to the internet has the ability to interact with and operate Mintbase and its NFT marketplace. Mintbase makes a point to support a vast array of digital assets such as music, photos, tickets or memberships as opposed to other NFT creation platforms that tend to only focus on singular categories. Thanks to being built on the NEAR Protocol, Mintbase can boast low transaction fees, fast transaction speeds, and infinite scalability.
